Can't wait to see what 7 footer Dragan Sekelja brings to the table next season. He should hopefully solve some of the size issues.
Dragon is a great player. He played pro bball over seas and can bring a lot of leadership to the court. I've watched him at practice a lot. He moves well off the ball, can dribble and pass like a forward and is a huge dominating force under the basket and in the paint. He will be a game changer for us next year and for the sunbelt in general. I dont think the conference has ever seen a player like him before. He is also one of the hardest working kids on the team even though he isnt playing yet.

I hear its because they had 2 other Big Centers playing ahead of him and he wanted to make an impact and get playing time before his senior year.BeastOwl said

Were a small team…I thought we could have pressured Scott towards the end of the game…I also think we let UM get off too many open 3's…that has nothing to do with height, but hustle…I still think we have the makings of a tournament team…
It kind of does have to with height. We had to keep double teaming reggie so it wasn't easy for him to score on us and he continually made good, on target passes to the open man who knocked down the shots. We win the game if they don't shoot 70%!! from behind the arc.
If we had another big who could handle Reggie then we would have been able to defend the perimiter better.
If you have the game recorded, go back and you'll see some of the looks they got….You have to get out and get a hand up….some of those looks were too wide open….

we need to rectify this lack of hustle before conference play…
We've had the same inconsistency for the last few games. It should be fixed by now.
Fact is, FAU was out of control tonight. Siena was too, of course, with all those turnovers and overthrown passes. The whole game seemed like chaos. Too much urgency, too many wild moves and too many 3's. Disciplined ball is measured and moves in beats - it's methodical and efficient.
This was street ball. And with our overall record going southward, I'm officially concerned about this team. I'm in no mood for a "long" season after a 1-11 football season.
I know the streak will end. I know we'll win again. But we need to find our groove and we need to find a way to penetrate with the team that we have otherwise we won't even dominate in our conference, to say nothing about the post-season.
