We need a bigger name. Balado might go with Rex too.

I dont want a high profile coach anymore. It's nice for the school to get a big name but all they're going to do is use us to go on to bigger and better things and more money. I would like someone less profile someone who won't use as a stepping stone. I just have a feeling this will happen until we can pay our coaches better and get into a better conference

I would agree with you but.. consider this: We don't have great facilities, play in a lesser known conference so a huge recruiting tool would be a big name for a coach.  Just like with football.  Kids, more often than not, wanted to come to FAU to play for Schnellenberger.

Go for Balado.  Hes actually a good south fla recruiter.

The next coach has more pressure than any other coach FAU has had. They must:

+ Improve the team's record
+ Improve attendance dramatically
+ Raise lots and lots of funds in order to get the Convocation Center moving

… all on a slim program budget in our current facilities.

We got stung by a high profile coach before. I would like to see a top assistant from a Big East, ACC, or SEC school considered. We should be able to attract a top coach. The SBC is traditionally stronger in basketball than in football. With Angelos applying for every vacant AD position in I-A, we may see a completely new program next fall.
