how about an Aerosmith halftime show?

The season changed last year when Monroe's paper work was straightened out and he became eligible. This game might have been different if he had played. Who knows.

fauowls44 I too was at the games when Sid was the coach, in fact my first FAU Bball game was pre sid. I couldn't tell you the name of the coach but I remember we had Gary Durant, and Damon Arnette on that team.

I go to as many games as I can and usually lose my voice screaming by half time lol. I'm sure most of you probably hear the few of us that were screaming and chanting all night. I used to scream and chant and yell at the refs before the Prowlers came along.

It was a good game and I think it was closer then the score showed there were a few questionable calls made by the ref. I believe 1 of them was when Rice had a 1 on 1 and drove to the hoop and the WKU player jumped up with him and they landed on each other the refs called a charge.

Kind of hard to charge a player while he is in the air with you, but what can you do. We were out rebounded and we were leaving them open from 3 pt land the entire 2nd half.

Luckily we still have a lot of games left to improve.

Didn't Gary Durant win the slam dunk contest in Tampa by jumping over Dickie V and the next time I believe he jumped over the lightning mascot

Also Florida_Owl you may know this, does Arnette work the owls games on the radio? I thought I saw him at the last game at the scorers table with headphones on. Does anyone know if that's him?

Also if anyone remembers John Smart from the days of Sid he was in the crowd at the last game. Good to see some of the alumni coming back to check out some games

Jab, Arnette does work the owls games on radio. I spoke to him several games ago to see how things were going for him. He also does some freelance articles at the Boca News related to the owls.
