GAME THREAD: FAU @ #11 North Carolina - 11/11/12 @ 2:30 PM

Just watched it now. We're still so raw, still playing sloppy, sloppy basketball.. vs Lynn, vs UNC. They're forcing things and playing on nerves. It's going to take a couple games before they hit a rhythm and play up to their potential.

I'll be curious to see how Moody does in the later half of the year to see how much of a drop-off from his h.s. ppg (because it's inevitable playing against better talent). Can get up into the 20's ppg? And what will Lacunza and Bryant add to this team… those are the kinds of questions I have for the year.

Two VERY young players on the floor…once they get the HS play mentality out of the way - forcing by sheer ability -  and learn to play at this level, things will change in a hurry.

Even Dragan had moments of it; trying to attack the basket from the top of the key!

Not enough playing time at Baylor to completely shed it, and will have to do so here.

Some wild 3's attempted and transitions were horrible. Sloppy ball handling.
I was mildly impressed the first few minutes…then the wheels came off.

The talent is there to compete in the Belt.

And no Bryant either. I hope his academic issues can get cleared up before our next game. Would like to get him on the floor as soon as possible so he can jell with this team

My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

I don't know about you guys but I think Baker is more effective running the point as opposed to Moody. Moody had 1 assist and hit 25% of his FGs. Are you kidding me? Baker also had a better game than Moody vs. Lynn. I know we're in the early going here and I do expect this team to compete once the chemistry is all there but I wouldn't be surprised if Jarvis stops starting Moody very soon. Personally, I think Bertone should be our PG. He's proven that he can handle the ball and run the floor very well. That's thing about this offense. You really need a stellar PG to run it. Damn I wish RAY wasn't such an idiot!

I'd like to hear Coach Botkin's input on this… is that guy still around? I'm sure he's been watching…

Somebody was saying that Moody has a lot of great potential, he's just gotta transition from the hs game where you can dribble a lot more than you can in college.

How did Ray do in his first year? Didn't he score like 20-something ppg in hs?

Yeah , where is Botkin?  I figured he'd be chiming in frequently once the season got started.
