monroe is like your daniels. parmer is on and off, played at providence then transferred to FAU (CC) first though, graham is good but gets pushed around, very smooththough. Nwoji ran the point at a national championship JC team. Xman was a big recruit but had a heart issue last year so he was able to practice. Simmons off the bench will provide some leadership. Royster a rookie is solid but this is first college game.

This game has definetely gottem ugly - URI 84-61

I'm watching gametracker while listening to the game. They really improved it. It shows pictures of the players with stats. The graphics are better. Quite a few improvements.

Game 1 and T-Rex shows up late. Thats the first for the year.

Nice game fellas and good luck the rest of the way.  Monroe is a player.  Our depth just wore you down and too many turnovers (31 points fot URI off TO's).  Also, your outside shooting was non-existent.  Rebounded fairly well but this URI team has a lot of depth and defensive intensity as games wear on, especially with Cothran and Ulmer, the sophs.

I just got back from the game.  FAU looked great in the first 10 min or so.  Lead for the first 10 min or so…played great defense…good interior passing and scoring.  Rams went on a run the 2nd part of the 1st half but we hang tough…down 5 at the half.  2nd half was another story and pretty much a disaster.  They shot the lights out and we couldn't stop them inside either.  Our defense was just plain horrible and way too many turnovers.  As far as outside shooting…Alcorn's 3 in the 2nd half was the only hoop we had outside of the paint all game.  Just terrible shooting.  Hopefully we play a better game against BC.  I imagine it will take a little time to gel.
A few more thoughts….
Monroe looked great…really dominated in the 1st half but they played him well in the 2nd.  He was playing against much bigger guys than him all night.  I think they kind of wore him down physically.
Palmer looked great…really set up his teamates a lot inside.
Nwoji did a good job handling the ball and getting it up the floor.  URI full court pressed us all game.  However, there wasn't a lot of penitrating to set up his teammates…would like to see more of that from a point but he will be good in the Sun Belt.
Graham looked good as well.  He was the only player that was able to consistantly drive to the basket.
The freshman looked like freshman…hopefully we see improvement as the season goes on.  I think all 3 that played should be valuable in the future.

One question for the board….I didn't see Owens out there….any news there?
