We are getting close every game but just can't pull it out maybe saturday

They came close. If we were able to get that defensive rebound in the closing seconds and maybe drive the hole and get a foul who knows what would have happened

I don't get it. There wasn't supposed to be this much drop off after losing two players from last year, Rice and Crews. I know Rice is a great player but we got a few good recruits/transfers and everyone else is a year older.  Its a different team.

Can someone tell me what happened.

1) no shooting threat and teams will double-down on carlos, brett (who is only a freshman), and any other big guy down low and shut them down

2) new PG… i know carderro is playing awfully well, but when you have a PG running your offense in his FIRST year in division I, there is going to be a learning curve he has to overcome

3) no leadership… enough said there

I hope they are following the same learning curve as the football team and just showing their youth. Hopefully the addition of Sutton next year will free up Monroe.

The football team success has me spoiled.

Owens only played 2 minutes.
Hernandez didn't see the floor.  Was this due to poor play in past games i wonder?

where do you see owens' stats?

Deandre was a big time basketball player.  He not only scored 20+ points a game, he played well in crunch time…cannot replace a clutch player easily.  We dont have a player on the team right now that is stepping up, period.
