Yep, bittersweet loss…seeing progress though, that is for sure.

Can't wait until they visit the Burrow on Feb. 25th…that just may be the day we turn the corner against the leagues "best".

This is one of the few times in my life where I've been excited about a loss. I wish we could have pulled it off, we're almost there, and I think we'll be hitting our stride come the tourney. Except for the first 4 mins of the game, which were a bit out of synch, we played WKU tough for the most part. We'll get there, soon enough. Next year, I expect to leave WKU with the W.

Could Greg Gantt be the second coming of DeAndre Rice? I'm getting exciiiiiiiiited  ;)

A couple of made free throws (have to shoot better than 58% from the line) and a couple of less fouls and we could have won that game. Shooting dropped off quite a bit in the 2nd half when theirs picked up.

Great game to watch, really looking forward to Feb. 25th.

If you look at AJ Slaughter's stats last night… he only had 3 fouls against him, yet was their leading scorer. Gantt has had similar success for us.

I think Hughley could learn a thing or two about that since he fouls out way too often when we need him to score. For Royster fouling out may be inevitable: when you're the main man blocking shots, you tend to foul people. Flailing hands and all that.

Tucker fouling out last night was a fluke. Notice that Slaughter really started hitting his stride after Tucker was no longer an issue - not to mention he shot 8 free throws.

Slaughter 25 total points - 8 uncontested points = 17 legitimate points.
By comparison, Gantt had 23 total points - 4 uncontested points = 19 legitimate points.

WKU could very well lose the night they come to the Burrow.
