Looks like Angelos was smarter then all of us not just jumping an over paying for a contract extension. We lose one player and all of the sudden it is 5-11 we have never made it past the first round of the conference tournament, beat a top 25 team. I like Jarvis but this is sad right now
So you feel that Coach Jarvis should continue to be one of the lowest paid coaches in The Sunbelt?
Look, what's going on right now could happen to any mid-major program. Because as a mid-major, we just don't recruit the depth to pick up the slack if a player or two doesn't perform - which is exactly what's going on with our big guys.

It does help us a little in that the "I've got 5 offers waiting for me" bargaining chip disappears if this team doesn't turn it around…so OC40 makes a good point. Wow, that was weird to say

It's hard to stay consistently good when your school doesn't care about your program.
It's hard to have a growing fanbase when your school doesn't care about your program, yes, but it's not the shortcomings of the FAU athletic marketing department that are causing the team to play bad defense/miss shots.

The deal is hung up on some additional stuff, not really the $$ for Jarvis. It's never been about his money,, it's about his assistant coaches, their futures and their $$.
Seems to be a Mexican standoff in these negotiations and it will be interesting to see who blinks 1st. Would hate to lose Jarvis over some trivial BS.

in all due respect, the guy has never won a post season game at fau. its an improvement and next year is looking good but a regular season championship don't meant much.

Plus when we go three or four guard small line-up they do the same thus negating our "advantage" in quickness and also negating our depth off of the bench. With six good guards I would have two (three TOPS!) on the floor and CONSTANTLY keep them fresh with changes (like hockey - line shift at guard) and keep them flying full speed ALL GAME LONG on both D and O!

…. and TELL your big men to play BIG OR SIT! We don't need 6'8" guards do we when we already have six good
I totally agree, one of these big men has to grow a pair of balls and be aggressive.
