a problem with our schedule was the gym renovation. The games at the begining of the year all had to be moved to the road because of the posibility of the gym not being finished.
That is a good point. It probably would have been easiest to get mid-major Northern teams to Boca in November and December. Later in the year, when everyone is in conference play, it is tougher to get teams to travel down south for a single game. Thus, we were left with the Longwood's of the world. I'm sure that Rex would have much rather played the bigger name schools, but the renovations got in the way.

Jay Warman was calling the Rowdy Rexes/Sexy Rexies out for not being too original… "Shortwood!", for instance. Having been to a number of home games, I think what you guys are doing is great and I hope you lead the charge to make fun of FIU come BURY THE BURROW day next Wednesday. Hopefully you'll bring everyone you know.

I guess we'll see if that's the case for next year's schedule. I know over the summer a lot of Phase Two things are going on (bathrooms, luxury boxes, signs, etc) but I doubt that will spill over into the season.
Nice to know that, for next season, we're only losing two real impact players – Jeff Parmer and Sean Alacron – and Paul Graham/Carlos Monroe will be there as well as these excellent freshmen (not to mention Dago Pena and Shay Shine, if they play right off the bat)

Here's a good idea let's bash the alumni/students that actually come to the games and make it fun for everyone else. Let's bash the fans who show up to the sport with the least amount of fan support. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and I know he was just stating his but I am going to email him and kindly invite him to come and sit with us next game.
We are a bunch of fans who like to have a good time and want to be loud and make it somewhat of a home court advantage. We don't use foul language, we don't talk about players mother's or anything stupid like that. Ya know what, some of the stuff we chant isn't original but we never said it was. We get to the games and we look over a roster and look at the players on the court and we come up with stuff off of the top of our heads and just yell things out to be loud.
I'm not sure what his problem is…
My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!
