The Series
The all-time series between FGCU and FAU is tied with one win a piece. In the most recent matchup, the Eagles were victorious 60-55 in Ft. Myers on December 1st, 2008.
FGCU at a Glance
Offense - 79.6 PPG, 52.1% FG, 42.2% 3PT
Defense - 70.6 PPGA, 42.6% FGA, 27.3% 3PTA

Notables
The FGCU Eagles skyrocketed into fame with their Sweet Sixteen run in the 2013 NCAA Tournament. Their fast paced and explosive play-style dubbed DunkCity, captivated the nation. While head coach during the Cinderella run, Andy Enfield, left for USC, and many of those players have graduated, the Eagles still maintain a quality and entertaining product on the court.
Today, the Eagles are led by forth year head coach Joe Dooley, who previously was an assistant at Kansas. Dooley's record at FGCU is 64-39, and includes one A-Sun regular season championship, A-Sun Tournament championship, and invitations to the NIT and NCAA Tournament in 2014 and 2016 respectively.
The Eagles return their top three scorers from the previous season, and six of the top seven scorers as well. Still, FGCU's leading scorer is a newcomer via a transfer from UCF; Brandon Goodwin, who leads the team with 16.6 PPG. Last season's leader in points and rebounds, Marc-Eddy Norelia has struggled this season after returning from an injury involving his shooting hand.
FAU at a Glance
Offense - 73.7 PPG, 42.9% FG, 36.7% 3PT
Defense - 70.8 PGA, 42.1% FGA, 36.8% 3PTA
Rebounding - 36.8 PG Owls, 38.7 PG Opponents
Notables
FAU is coming off a 79-57 win against NAIA opponent Webber International at the Burrow. They have won two out of the last three, including a major upset in overtime against Ohio State in Columbus.
Justin Massey netted a game-high 15 points in his second game back from an NCAA eligibility following his transfer back to FAU from Brown.
Massey, Adonis Filer, Ronald Delph, and Jeantal Cylla all combined for the final 27 points to put the game against Webber International away.
Wednesday's tilt will be the final contest before the Owls begin C-USA play against Western Kentucky this Saturday.

First media timeout of the game, FGCU leads #FAU 6-2. Eagles are shooting 43%, Owls shooting 20%. Yeah, we're going to have to work on that.
