The Owls move to 8-8 (2-3) on the season and have won three of their last four games.

Stefan Moody had a huge second have,  finishing the game with 16 points and a career-high 9 rebounds.

FAU was excellent at the free throw line converting on 18-of-21 attempts as a team. The favorable shooting provide to be a factor down the stretch.

Kelvin Penn recorded three blocks, but the Ragin Cajun's won the battle in the paint outscoring the Owls 34-30.

Elfrid Payton led Louisiana-Lafayette with a career-high 23 points while Shawn Long chipped in 22 of his own.

FAU managed 12 assists, but turned the ball over a dozen times.

Cavon Baker provided a nice spark off the bench with 6 points and a steal.

Coach Jarvis said after the game that Richard Morrow - who was held out of the game with concussion like symptoms -  could have played if it was a tournament game.

He should be ready to go next week for the road trip.

Actually 3-2 in conference play…young team, improving each week.  I like where we are heading.  Closing out teams comes with experience.
