Louisiana Tech at a Glance:

Offense - 77.8 PPG, 46% FG, 39% 3PT

Defense - 70.9 PGA, 44% FGA, 35% 3PTA

Rebounding - 35.6 PG Bulldogs, 35.0 PG Opponents

Notables

one of the biggest head scratchers in Conference-USA basketball has been the disappointing play of the once mighty Dunkin' Dawgs. Star PG Jalen Harris led the team in points with 15.3 PG, but requested a transfer after Tech's win over Fort Wayne. The Bulldogs immediately dropped three straight after Harris' exit, en route to dropping five of their first six CUSA games.

Now, The Bulldogs have begun to right the ship with three straight victories, each being more impressive than the last.

St. Petersburgh Lakewood HS product Jacobi Boykins, continues to be the leader of one of the top three-point shooting threats in the conference The senior leads the team in rebounds, and minutes played, second in PPG and third in 3Pt%. Offensively, he is supported by Miami McArthur HS star Derric Jean, with 9.2 PPG and 44% 3Pt, and Preseason All-CUSA guard Daquan Bracey (who is battling injury), with 15.3 PPG and 43% 3Pt.

FAU at a Glance

Offense - 69.3 PPG, 41% FG, 33% 3PT

Defense - 68.2 PGA, 43% FGA, 34% 3PTA

Rebounding - 38.7 Owls, 37.2 Opponents

Notables

Finally, back in the winning column! As been the case in the Curry era, the team would take two steps forwards, followed by two steps (if not three or four) backwards. In this case, the Owls had a three game win streak, followed up with two disappointing losses. Then after struggling with the Rice Owls in Houston, Justin Massey hits a buzzer beater that got the Owls on SportsCenter Top Ten.

This season's team has been all about Ron Delph. He leads the Owls in both PPG and RPG with 13.9 and 9.0 respectively. As great as Delph as been this year, the Owls can only do so much without a credible threat outside of the paint. If Justin Massey (13.0 PPG, 34% 3Pt) and Gerdarius Troutman (12.3 PPG, 43% 3Pt) are having off nights, then that spells heartbreak for the Owls.

BLAST FROM THE PAST!

Just in case some of you need a reminder of LaTech's last trip to the Burrow…

Jackson Trapp hit this go-ahead three-pointer to cap off a 24 point comeback for the Owls. Just look at that reaction from the student section!

Adger and Troutman come in for Hulsey and Massey respectively.

Owls are doing a solid job defensively so far, especially at restricting easy three-point shots.

Tech is starting to find lanes inside, and easy jumpers from the arch. They're off the ball movement has been impressive, as FAU has struggled to keep up with it recently.
