REALLY nice game by the freshman Mavin. It's encouraging to know that we can still win without Taylor and Gantt, arguably 2 of the top 3 players on our team.

Is Justin Davis injured or was that a coaches decision?Rick said

So is this a quality win?

Every win is a quality win!!
UC Davis is no powerhouse, but then again, Boca Raton is not exactly the center of the universe for college basketball (yet ;)).
Any time you can travel that far and pick up a win on the road–is a good win…and it beats the alternative.
For perspective, I think we only won about 3 games last year OOC. If we get 2 or 3 wins early then we can do ourselves a really big favor as we move further into the season.
The thing I like is we have multiple players that can pick up their game if someone is out. The depth is the key to our improvement. Just a couple years ago, our 6th or 7th guy was a walk on from the band. He did a great job, but the point is we just didn't have many options like we do now.

Yep, Chris Coleman. He was decent. Nice Reader's Digest story, putting down his instrument and picking up a jersey to help the team.
