I like University Blvd

Since "Way" is a possible suffix, maybe The Florida Atlantic Way

 

This is awesome and I hope it the city and FAU come to a great agreement on the name.

When out of towners, or even in-towners, pass on Federal Highway, Dixie, etc., it should read something that reflects FAU and easily says "this is the street to FAU." I like Florida Atlantic Blvd; but I really like University Blvd. I would stay away from University Way because it could read United Way on a quick glance. (or maybe my eye sight is going)

Tom Fleming Way/Ave/Street is AWESOME and I would fully support that. However, I too agree that it should be something that everyone easily knows, like the aforementioned names.

Although … when driving around San Antonio .. and heck, driving around anywhere, there are always street names that you don't necessarily know who it's named for. So maybe Tom Fleming way would be appropriate.

Just keep it simple… If an out of towner is traveling down Dixie and sees something like Owl Blvd or some other variation of owl, they will have no idea what is over there… use the word University and it's pretty easy to tell where you are at.  Save all the names of people and owl this or that for when you are on campus

I inquired to SG regarding the 20th Street naming process. Here is the response:

Update on 20th Street: It was announced at the Boca House Meeting today that the 20th street renaming project is on pause while the university works out some of the politics involved . It will come back once all of that is resolved.

I think that was where we were 10 years ago as well.
