Another editorial about...
1) Brogan had to choose between what is in the news now, with the severance pay fiasco or a discrimination law suit. Which do you think would have been worse? Granted, the suit probably would have eventually been thrown out or at the least, a judge or jury would have found no discrimination. The publicity would have been terrible. And we all know how people are, they think where there's smoke there must be fire.
2) The reason Brogan is not giving any info is because he signed an agreement stating that he wouldn't say anything negative about Davenport. Davenport could sue if Brogan reveals too much. Brogan stated that the reason for firing was differences in management philosophies. Give me a break! If Brogan was free to speak we would would probably find out that Davenport was coasting until he could retire. I've seen it happen in the corporate world a time or two. A guy was a few years away from retiring and just sat on his ass. No work!
I personally believe Brogan was on the up and up with this.
As far as Davenport, I would say unless he has a connection or two, he isn't going to find squat for a high paying job. If he walked into my company (which is HUGE) for a job, I wouldn't let them hire him.
