Brogan receives unanimous Approval from board

Received an update from Kim Miller. She said Brogan has won the unanimous recommendation of the board.

But what was not known is that Brogan interviewed today after finding out about the death of his brother.

Re: Brogan receives unanimous Approval from board

Congratulations to fellow alumnus Frank T. Brogan '81 for being named to the post. He will do a fantastic job.

Now we must look forward to a national search to find "the next Frank Brogan." I hope there's another one of him out there.

Does anyone have any idea who they might like to see as the new President?
Male? Female?
What background? Science, Engineering, Education, something else?

This might sound a bit biased but I am afraid a women would slow down the stadium project and other athletic endeavors. Maybe, maybe not depending on the person.

The President of a Research Division from a major university would understand both the challenges of increasing faculty and research output as well as creating and maintaining a traditional college environment. If I remember correctly, former President Catanese was the Dean of Architecture from UF before coming to FAU. Somebody like that would be great as well.

I just don't want to see Dr. Sally So-and-so from the Social Justice Department at the University of Southwestern Alabama-Chickenfort campus.
