If we made a move to get rid of the AD over a womens basketball coach I quit following FAU sports.  I dont know about everybody else but that seems absurd to me. 
Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

I have inside knowledge of the athletic department and I agree with the move.  I was talking with an FAU supporter and he and I agree that the AD needs to be a presence; fundraising is KEY.  Craig was always complaining about our internal budget.  And what bothered me most - that people should leave FAU to persue other jobs in the athletic field.  That drove me nuts.  A department is only as good as it's leader and when he bad mouthed FAU Athletics it was a slap in my face to think I came to work there everyday for a guy who seemed to want out himself.

I think Melissa will do a good job, and I'm not just saying that because she reads the forum lol.

Will she have any power as the interim AD? For example can she give Jarvis a contract? I'm assuming everything will have to pass through MJS first

I'm assuming Melissa will simply handle day to day operations stuff.  No heavy lifting or decision making unless she's made full time, active AD.
