i would gather that this is not reality we are reading, but fiction penned by opposition, and a defiant spirit…
dont give it any weight…thsi garbage cant, and will not hinder FAUs bright future…
throughout history there have been people who spend their timing spewing this garbage for consumption…they stand for nothing but division in my eyes…
and if you look back, time and time again, they are rendered ineffective at "stopping" anything…the post is garbage, minus Marcus…
and the sentinel, which i dont read, aint much better on the "news"…but i love Ted…he's the bomb…always positive in regards to athletics coverage…he is objective, but positive in nature…
As much as it may be "garbage" it comes from somewhere. It can't be all fabrication.
GO OWLS!!!
agreed…but you ahve to admit they "spin" it negative any chance they get…sometimes without warrant…

Wow, cool. Hopefully they'll make the right choice.Talon said
This is kind of ironic; a couple of days ago I saw a neighbor and his youngest daughter is graduating from HS. His son just graduated from UF and he said she didn't really like it there – too crowded and looked too old. He asked about FAU and I said you really need to take a look. They are planning on it this weekend. I'll let you know what they come back with. I believe they are also going to look at FIU.
Right. The whole point is not that bad news shouldn't be covered – it should. However, if you're ONLY covering the bad news…Florida_Owl said

It is very hard to changes someones first impressions based on bad assumptions, yet we need to talk and educate the public about FAU in general - a bit of word of mouth.
This has been a very good year for FAU in general and some that do not want us to progress combat the good with the negative stuff. It's unfortunate that some only like to print negative stuff, which tells me a lot about that individual :-X yet, most of the news print article about FAU are sports related and for those that still think sports does very little for a schools image, think again. Having Howard, Angelo's, Rex, Dungan, Cooney, Joyce and all the other coaches, help makes sure that our athletes are responsible in their actions and remind them that they are not above the teams they represent. Sports is a powerful vehicle, yet academics should also be a major influence in print as well.
IMHO, it is becoming more evident and important that we get this Innovation Village/Stadium project build, it will do wonders for this establishment. I hate to bring it up, but again just talking about it is not enough, but writing to the BoT and president of the school letting them know how you feel and thus becoming more proactive in the issues that have an effect on the University.
It helps show our frustrations and the interest we hold in making sure that progress is being made. It also lets them know that we are holding them accountable for their actions, inactions in some cases.
