I do, but the Board of Trustee's is not stupid. They dont want this guy bringing any more press that can reflect negatively on the University.  They will find a way to revoke this professor's tenure.

Tenure can't be revoked afaik. It's a protection to allow academics to voice their own ideas, as unpopular as they might be. This situation is actually the perfect case study on tenure. If this professor had to fear for his job every time he said anything that was different from common public opinion then he wouldn't be able to do his job.

Just for those who have no idea what this word is, it's not an insurance company plug, and is actually not a word.

It's an abbreviation term that "internet savvy" guys like TeamBeer use:

The irony in all of this, afaik, is that Tracy was trying to stretch the minds of his students in the philosophy of "Conspiracy Theory" - which is the true flux of the said course under which the comments he made resides within.

He obviously scored with the assertion, and Literalists (media primarily) chose to "spin once again"; enhancing their antagonistic story platform in the process.

Does anyone really believe that he truly holds this proclamation in the form of belief?

IMO (in my opinion), he's pulling a "Madonna" move, and exploiting everyone reading the stories for his own awareness.

How about that for a conspiracy theory?

After reading and watching some things on SH I honestly don't know what to believe anymore.  It's not like Anderson Cooper & CNN don't have an agenda/bias.  I find it a little weird that the grieving mother went out of her way to mention the AR-15 specifically….Regardless, we don't owe CNN or the state of Connecticut any appeasement in firing a professor who has a fringe/unpopular theory.  Anderson Cooper is especially nauseating trying to drive home the "outrage" that "taxpayers pay his salary"….ughhh shut up!
