I thought that the university community would be glad to hear that Florida Atlantic University is having extraordinary success in our students getting into medical, dental, and veterinary schools. For the 2005-06 cycle of applications (students starting medical, veterinary, or dental school in Fall 2006), we had an *80% acceptance rate* for the 42 students interviewing with the PreHealth Professions Committee. This year (2006-07), we interviewed 48 students and so far 65% have been accepted – we expect more acceptances as the wait-list process progresses. This is a WOW factor that we should be using.
