What did you say you expect the average GPA to be this Fall? 3.7?

And has there been any specific directives from Saunders to increase our overall standards?

It will probably be north of 3.5 and yes, there is a big push for higher profile students.

It is there so athletes can get in justifiably. If they meet the minimums (which are not hard at all to acheive), then they can come and attend school while playing for our teams.

I doubt it. Athletics basically has their own standards. I imagine a bunch of kids are below a 2.6. I think there are certain tests they can take (other than ACT/SAT) and stuff like that.

I transfer from BCC with an associate's degree and a 2.9 GPA back in 2004.
I believed the requirement for transfers was 2.7 GPA.
I graduated with a 3.4 in 2006

Much easier. I had a friend who didn't break 1000 on the SAT… then transferred from PBCC to UF (where she later graduated and is doing very well in a graduate program).

I don't know this for sure, but if you graduate from a community college in Florida, any 4 year university will accept you. Again, not sure how true that is, or if it depends on grades and what not. Just something I thought I heard a while back

You are guaranteed admission with your AA  from a state college in Florida. You need at least a 2.5 without the AA.
