New Ad Agency
two different components and accounts. Can't transfer funds from that account to athletics.

Well, if vending machines and Homecoming funds can pay for a disgruntled administrator's severance, anything is possible in FAU's accounting department.

Re: New Ad Agency
You don't spend money on marketing when things are up and business is booming, yet businesses do it all the time. The fact is FAU athletics MUST find a way to market itself NOW and allocating X amount of money each year to do so. Sure there can be creative ways of doing so that will not break the bank, but it is important that you do something.
Does this new company understand the market that is South Florida, probably not - this is a VERY tough market to break, but I do believe that it is a market that is beaming with a ton of potential, it just need to be realized. I wish I had some answers to help crack the nut, but an effort must be made and it appears that FAU is doing something. Sometimes it's a good idea to ask advise from an outside source to get a fresh view of something that you would otherwise overlook by being tied to a project.

IMHO this is to help with the marketing of FAU Athletics and to bail out the marketing depaertment for there lack of imagination.

Re: New Ad Agency
I hope the new ad agency does more homework on FAU and its market the the company hired to present the stadium plan.
That plan constantly refers to the "Miami" market and area, giving only short thrift to Palm Beach County. It pays no attebntion to the fact that the Palm Beaches have no significant stadium or arena for a population of 1.5 million people!
The stadium plan people apparently think FAU is in greater Miami - an idea that is so far off the mark and destined to cause any related marketing effort to fail in target audience and need.
