And what do you call that? I think that's The Pot calling The Kettle BLACK!!

Fire away F_O. I'm sure you have a comeback for that, you ALWAYS do.

But back to the topic at hand… You could call it fishing for a story, but since FAU and UF are aware of this aspect of social networking sites, they obviously are aware that they often are driven by negative comments. That's what the article was about: negative comments. You don't need to balance it with a positive comment, that's not the point of the story. You could argue that she could have included negative comments that were made about UF, since that was the other schooll that said it was monitoring the issue. But would that induce as much of a reaction from the reader as comments made about FAU, the school in our area and not 4 hours away? No way.

Lol…

Relax my Northern fellow Owl - take it from level 8 down to 3…im only joking around!

Personally i really don't care that Miller is one of the most negative writers that attempts to collect a check at the expense of FAU, but that is besides the point…im glad you see it differently…that is what makes life grand…

Besides, you were the last one to throw a "virtual rock" at me…and i still have the black eye to prove it!

:P  ;)  ;D

Of course, to be fair, the reporter may be positive, but an editor may change the whole tone of an article.

Which rock would you be referring to? I hope you don't mean the countdown on your Jarvis prediction because all i was doing was pointing out your error in timing. You can take that as constructive criticism.

And personally, it seems your negative bias toward Miller taints your view on most articles she writes. Rather forming an opinion AFTER you read it, you go in already looking for something to construe as negative. Is your glass always half empty?

Now please don't take this as just defending Miller's stuff,  I would take the same stance for reporters at the other papers (if they would EVER write anything about FAU past the athletic dept… do the SS or Herald even have education writers anymore).

President of the No Homers Club. Keepin' it real since 2001.

Contructive criticism is just that:

Constructive.

To me you did throw a rock in the "manner" you chose in "pointing to my error" - which i dont see why anyway…

again, i question your heart on that…

And, honestly, it upset me initially…but thats fine…even after i PM'd you, you didnt respond, so i just let it go…

Dont need to defend my reputation…it is what it is…

BUT, i cant belive that you you just went there with me of all people…

Lol….

Miller:

Maybe its the editor??  Because i sincerely get the same negative vibe on everything she rights…its always the "bad side" if you will….again, JMO!  :)

The SS does write articles on FAU…and alot of that is negative too…i simply dont read that stuff…no matter the paper…….
