Hmmm…….
Florida Atlantic University has found a new way to soil itself and to once again prove that it will not give up in its perpetual quest to be the worst place in America to go to college.
This time, school officials at the public, taxpayer-funded university summoned Dylan Bouscher, the editor-in-chief of FAU’s University Press student newspaper, on disciplinary charges for having the audacity to practice routine journalism.

Dear Press,
It is not up to you decide what a crime scene is. And once you found out it was a suicide, why do you need to take pictures? National Enquirer journalism?

Dylan needs a good ole fashion arse beating for publishing/taking photos like this. I have daughter in college and stories like this make me sick to my stomach.

And was that pic from the actual day? f it was, who took it because they were obviously only a few feet from the scene not the greater distance reported in the story.

Anyway, I don't understand what this website's deal is with FAU. The writer certainly seems to have some personal vendetta. I mean really? This is a story worth slamming the school over?
I'm sure there are similar stories of college police not wanting the school's newspaper interfering with their jobs on every campus. From the quotes, it makes it sound like the police officers on campus are pretty familiar with this "journalist" since they called him by name. Sounds like a kid who's always trying to find a story. And that's fine, the UP should be allowed to cover news on campus, but if it's a suicide, what exactly is the story are you covering? I suppose any death on campus is technically "news", but when you discover it's a suicide, don't be a jerk and just back off.
