Owsley may not be fierce, but in comparison to alot of other schools he really isn't too bad.  :D

I think the issue is that we had a great mascot that was cool looking and tough, and we got rid of him for Owsley.

Which reminds me, anyone see Owlsley at the Dolphins Game? I laughed out loud when I saw him on the TV with a bunch of other mascots.  Needless to say thats not the reaction a loyal FAU fan should get when confronted with his mascot.

Needless to say, Owsley will not be invited to this year's Capital One Mascot Challenge.

The worst IS, by far, the WKU "Sesame Street reject"…complete with $9.88 Walmart "Athletic Works" brand sneakers…

I never said we were the worst….its obvious that we aren't.

BUT we already had a great mascot, and went down a step.  I just think that Hootie was much better.

Yeah dude it's terrible. When I think of Hilltoppers, I think of giants. They should have some sort of built red dude as their mascot.

I think iamowl had a great nickname for the hilltopper....ill let him tell it!

… although it's often considered one of the best college mascots.

A national survey shows that families not affiliated with the university like "friendly" looking mascots more than "mean" looking mascots. Maybe that's why we have a friendly looking Owsley?

What about Sparty at Michigan State?? That is one bad looking mascot and he is beloved by all.
