Rose Gressley went 3-for-3 with 2 RBI and allowed just three hits in FAU’s 3-2 win over Louisiana-Monroe on Sunday. The victory gave FAU their first conference series win of the season.

Gressley jump-started the Lasy Owls (22-25, 5-10 Sun Belt) in the first inning with a double to left center that drove in Ambar Jones and Amy Bukovich which gave FAU a 2-1 lead.  Jones then drove in Blair Bodenmiller for what proved to be the game winning-run in the second.

ULM scored a run in the fifth inning to pull within 3-2 and had runners on first and third with two outs in the seventh, but Gressley was able to entice Jessica Olguin into a groundout to end the game.

It was the second complete game victory for Gressley in less than 24 hours after winning the nightcap on Saturday.

The Lady Owls will play their next seven games on the road, starting with a three game series against Western Kentucky. The series starts on Wednesday with a doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00PM EST.
