The Owls will play in the C-USA Tournament for the fourth consecutive season after winning their eighth straight match to improve to 13-10 on the season and 8-1 in league play.
The current win streak is FAU’s longest under Head Coach Fernanda Nelson and the Owls remain in sole possession of second place in C-USA.
The team held FIU to a .012 hitting percentage, the lowest of any opponent this year, and continues its best start in conference play since the 2005 season.

FAU fell behind 13-4 in the first set and was unable to recover, falling 25-15. The Owls led 22-16 late in the second frame, but the Roadrunners (17-6, 8-3) rallied to take the lead. After a Genesis Viera block tied the score at 25, UTSA won back-to-back points to seize a 2-0 lead. The Roadrunners blitzed the Owls in the third set, using a 12-1 run to complete the sweep, 25-7.
