However, the Golden Panthers took the lead in 66th minute of the match when Nicolas Rodriguez's free kick found Jahbari Willis open for a header to put FIU on top 1-0.
Rodriquez later scored his second goal in the 89th minute when McCormick was beaten by a ball to the far post.

Re: Second Half Surge Pushes FIU Past Florida Atlantic in Men's Soccer
I went to this game and I was surprised to see such a big crowd for a soccer game.
FAU dominated the first half completely, but there were no chances to score.
During the second half; FIU woke up and scored with a header from a corner kick and then our goalkeeper made a mistake and the ball ended up inside the net by the FIU forward.
My opinion is that this coach is extremely conservative and does not allow the players to be creative up front. I also noticed that the defenders get the ball all the time to open up spaces and create new chances to open up the field in the middle, but I think they are over doing it.
The ball needs to move around the midfield more often and shooting/trying out their goalie is a MUST if they want to score.
FAU played much better, but did not capitalize on few chances.
I have not seen other games, so I can't judge an entire season on 1 game.
Good luck to the owls the rest of the season.
