Re: Ted?
First off, it is not the Peace Corps. My son is the one who did that, serving two years in Panama. (I would recommend it, because that is where he met his wonderful wife, who happens to be Yale law school graduate and who now has a sweet job while my son is getting his doctorate in a subject I think Gov. Rick Scott wants to have banned.)
But back to me…let's just say I won't be going far, either geographically or web-wise.
I know that will disappoint the haters, but look on the bright side, you will still have me to kick around. You'll just have to do it somewhere else.
Put yourself in my shoes: newspapers are dying, and dot-coms are still a question mark. What to do, what to do?
Back from vacation and ready to for Plan B to kick in. Something that has been in the works for nearly two year, and something that may be a big surprise, but not when you sit back and think about it.
Now, me and Connie The Wonder Woman are going to eat up those stone crab claws I brought home from the Keys…

I don't think so, other than the SS may not be in my future for long. And you didn't hear that from me…

You'll always have the support of Owl Country and everyone on this forum. Sounds a lot like maybe you're starting your own website or blog, or maybe partnering up with a website that is already successful and already has a lot of readers? ??? ???
My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

Re: Ted?
AD – Impossible job – tougher than that of the prez, since it includes fund-raising in addition to everything else. good luck with that, whomever gets it.
DT choreographer – I applied, and offered to work for free, but got turned down. After all I have done for the DT…
FAU sports information employee – Nope. I need job security, and with a new AD coming in, the house could be cleaned. And it won't be like the new women's hoops coach, with a clause where she can't be whacked without the prez's approval. How else would you get someone to take that job?
That still leaves raconteur (just love that word and would be great on a business card) among others…

With all of the $.75 words getting tossed around, we may need to add a dictionary tab onto the menu bar!
Had to look that one up as well…….
;D
Ordained future calling for you Ted…after all, you have gleaned valuable insight having covered one of the greatest raconteurs of all time:
