Women's Soccer: Georgia Defense Stymies Owls; Allows No Shots
The Owls were held shotless by a staunch Bulldog defense. Georgia scored in the 14th minute when Jamie Pollock struck off of a corner kick to give UGA a 1-0 lead. Alex Hooker added to the lead in the 19th minute when she scored off of a Carrie Peterson cross. Pollock added another goal shortly after halftime to chase Ashley Lantes from the Owl's goal.
Ashley Parrinello relieved Lantes and shut Georgia out for the final 37:08 of the match.
FAU will continue action at the Georgia Nike Invitational on Sunday when they face Clemson at 11:00AM EST.
