"Boca officials warn FAU to wait to build stadium until road additions are made"

Is there any way to route cars from Yamato to a possible north entrance to the stadium?  I can sort of understand the concern with Glades Road being the only way of getting there.

You mean Yamato east to 2nd ave (Boca Raton Blvd.) or Federal Hwy…left on Spanish River and you are at the north entrance. That's the only way I go now…at least to Baseball/Basketball games. Sometimes we forget, Glades isn't the only entrance. There are three, That one, Glades and Prez Brogan way from east. But of course we all know that. ;D

Yeah, that's the only way I knew of, too, at least as far as using main roads.  Seems like a lot of winding around to get in from the north.  I was looking for a more direct route from Yamato, but there's a lot of residential on the north side.

There are 5 exits right now. Main on glades (x2), small exit next to IRT to glades, back by brogan's pimp house, and then rear exit back by pbcc.  I personally think that one more exit would be required but i dont see why boca has to warn us to hault building…..if we do that then we will never have a stadium…

Another article in the Sun-Sentinel about the tension between Boca and FAU over the stadium:

Mayor Susan Whelchel said she "cannot imagine" that FAU would do anything to cause "discontent." She and Ahnell recently had a "very good meeting" with FAU President Frank Brogan and his team.

"We all appear to be on the same page," she said.

It seems to me that our local so called news print are making making more of this then it should, it sounds to me like FAU and Boca have been talking and are on good terms.

I agree, it sounds like they are on good terms.  What that mean is the big question.  I would love to know the truth about where we stand on this stadium project, it sounds like it is turning into another FAU fiasco.

Does the City realize that there are only 5 home games a year, maybe 6! That means Glades Rd will only have traffic from the staduim 5 days out of 365.  That is .08% of the year that the City will be affected by Owl Football.

They are only using this as an excuse to get the off ramps constructed to free up the congestion that has been building on Glades Road during the week for the last 15 years.
