Well I'm sorry I started this thread, but I was hoping to show Walty12 the ACLU has the freedom to say these things because of people like me and my fellow service members.

The ACLU fights to permit people like this guy to say things like this:

The short answer is their liberal agenda as well as the "crusade" against moral values. The latter (IMO) is tearing this country apart.

Whose "moral values" are you speaking of exactly?

The ACLU has defended groups like the KKK…I would hardly classify that as "liberal".

Just so its clear because its tough to tell in print, I am not mad at all and never have been on this thread.

Actually Walty12, its people like me and my fellow service members and the US Constitution who sacrifice time with our family and love ones to give the ACLU the right to fight for guys like Jerry Falwell. Some gave all and all gave some.

Just referencing the ACLU's mission statement.  There are more ways to "fight" than with guns.

I appreciate and respect your and your fellow marines service to me and this country.

It's hard to say however I would start with the majority of the gainfully employed flipping the bill for all the freeloaders we currently have on the books. In addition, your "token" example doesn't cut it, anyone with an ounce of common sense could tell you where the ACLU's loyalties lie.
