That is ridiculous. We should be playing FIU at home as soon as an on campus stadium is complete.

That's bad planning… who thought we could live up to such a lease at Dolphin Stadium? Did the administration seriously think that a I-AA team (at the time) playing in Dade would ever be able to fill that stadium?

How about the opponents like Minnesota and the other big opponents in the past and to come? Don't they count toward working out the contract? I would think they do.

It doesn't make sense to me that Dolphin Stadium would hold fast to that contract when it is an economic burden on a public University with a tight budget.

Our games against Minnesota, Ok. St. that are being played at Dolphin Stadium do not count towards games that need to be played in order to satisfy our agreement - only FIU games count as required games :P It was a bad deal from the start.

VERY bad…and it takes away our home field advantage big time…

count on FIU bringing some people there this year…anything is better than the five fans that showed up last year, and sat on our side…he he he…

Does FAU just not know how to negotiate?

With Dolphins stadium? With outgoing administrators? With stadium planners?

It was a deal that was made to get-out of our original contract with Dolphin Stadium after only playing our first two years there, when Lockhart became available when the Fusion left.

A compromise had to be reach, not great but better then the altenative.

It is better than the alternative which was staying at Dolphin Stadium full time. I think though, that if/when UM decides to move to DS, they will reconsider holding FAU to the contract. UM will need the Saturdays and i'm sure that UM would get first right to them.
