BOT Meeting for July 22nd - Looks like we are Stadium bound...

Ok,

So WHERE does the stadium fall into this decision?

I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and I'm out of bubble gum.

When would they realistically look to break ground?

My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

Likely delayed a year.  It is what it is, can't say we didn't expect this.

The Scott Travis and Kimberly Miller articles suggest that the BOT will decide in the near future how and when they're going to build. We still may be on campus in 2010 but I have a feeling if we do, it will be for one game and be less than 30k seats.

That would actually work out pretty well, I think, since that allows you to (in no particular order):

A) Get the revenue from the (potentially) sold-out FAU/MSU game.
B) Appease the fans and boosters who have been waiting so long for this stadium to open.
C) Test crowd control, vending, traffic circulation, etc in a "real time" situation. That way FAU can fix what went wrong so that the 2011 season will run more smoothly.
D) Show off the stadium to recruits in 2010.

and so on.
