I got an idea since UCF has moved out of the Citrus Bowl the City of Orlando is offering one hell of a good deal on games being played there and its only 2 1/2 hours away.

On that list Adams & Grossman are big supporters of the football program, with Adams being a founder ( I do believe ).

Grossman was also president of the Alumni Association before becoming a BoT member.

Adams is an FAU grad who sold his tech company and made millions upon millions. I chatted with him after a lecture on campus 2 years ago, and he was very enthusiastic about the program and what an on campus facility would do for the school as a whole. I mentioned how nice it would be to attend games on campus at "Scott Adams Stadium" and he merely chuckled. We could really use a more benevolent alumni...

Yeah Adams and Grossman are key cogs in the wheel…a fellow i spoke with in the parking lot after the mens game saturday knew them and stated that they were big time supporters of the football team…he aslo stated that Brogan and Crist have good ties, which will come into play in 08 with the appointment of a new chair…this is a positive…

U of Minnesota is getting a ton of state funding for the stadium they are about to build but I think we are just to young to get that kind of support. I read the link to the state and U of Minn. plan but can't find the site now. The way they put it together was very interesting.

As I recall reading about this some time ago, there was a land exchange. Some property that the university owned was signed over in exchange for the financing.

Not a bad idea…but how much land does FAU have left that is not spoken for at this point?

We gave the city the soccer fields on Glades road, and not to much came back to FAU out of that…im sure there were probably political reasons behind it, but with the value of land right now, that chunk would be worth $10 mil easy…
