At this point, do supporters deserve a Town Hall held by FAU to discuss the current situation regarding the football stadium and the Innovation Village?

I wonder if the stadium is planned for 10K less seats but expandable for the future; would mean less money to start construction.
As far as I know the $12 million are destined for a 30K seat stadium. Would the down payment be lower if the build 20K instead of 30K?
If they build a 20K seat stadium; it MUST be expandable for future changes in conferences and popularity.

Re: Can We Handle the Truth?!

If a Town Hall doesn't interest you and you disagree with it, then don't attend it (if it were to happen).

I am not saying a Town Hall will resolve all the issues and the stadium will magically be built. What I am saying is that FAU faces a tough challenge with this project, and the FAU community would be willing to help them, given the appropriate opportunity.

I'm not an FAU basher and I honestly think they are doing the best they can given the current economic situation. I just think an event such as a Town Hall could only help FAU with this situation, even if only a little bit.

At a minimum it could help to boost morale and let the fans and those who support FAU football and the university know what is going on. In this sense it has the potential to help people feel more involved (not on the outside looking in). This can only be beneficial to the university and it would demonstrate that the university has a vested interest in the program, fans, and supporters.

Re: Can We Handle the Truth?!

personally i think a town hall can bring new ideas to the table the biggest problem with this stadium so far is fau has done a horrible job with fund raisins only wanting huge donations if fau let the community be more involved their could have been many more small events to help raise money 1,000 there 500 here it all adds up it that could have led to even bigger donations of 10,000 or more but fau made fans feel like if they didn't have 100,000 to donate they couldn't help

How did FAU make fans feel like if they didn't have 100,000 to donate they couldn't help?  Just curious as to your experience.

I want the truth as opposed to being led along like a mule with a carrot.

Lol…

true definition of insanity, right? Being led along, repeating the same behavior, expecting a different result…

Although, i do not believe that is the case here…it's a combination of things in all reality.  They are working dilligently to get a deal done…this much i can attest to.

If we get the numbers up on this poll, *hint hint* of folks in support of this idea, perhaps we can put in an official request to host a meeting…

But 15 aint gonna cut it…100+ think we can make some noise…

Why do you choose not to use periods or anything? No periods, no commas… is it just because you're used to texting a lot on your cellphone?

Maybe we should start the poll on the Football page as well. More people visit that page than the Stadium page. Just a suggestion.
