Maybe we should start the poll on the Football page as well. More people visit that page than the Stadium page. Just a suggestion.

I was going to say great idea, but you already did so! ;D

personally i think a town hall can bring new ideas to the table the biggest problem with this stadium so far is fau has done a horrible job with  fundraising only wanting huge donations if fau let the community be more involved their could have been many more small events to help raise money 1,000 there 500 here it all adds up it that could have led to even bigger donations of 10,000 or more but fau made fans feel like if they didn't have 100,000 to donate they couldn't help

How did FAU make fans feel like if they didn't have 100,000 to donate they couldn't help?  Just curious as to your experience.
there was no small fundraising events such as dinners etc. As forthe brick project is there but thats not something the school started it was the prowlersits a good idea but its advertised poorly nobody knows about it outside of this bored.
I was also told by someone that they wanted to donate 10,000 to the stadium but were told they were only looking for major donations of 100,000 or more

OUCH!!! The university is not in a position to turn away any type of donation. The word spreads quickly and people will start to think twice about donating to FAU if FAU is turning people away because they are not high dollar donors (Boca anyone??)

If we get the numbers up on this poll, *hint hint* of folks in support of this idea, perhaps we can put in an official request to host a meeting…

But 15 aint gonna cut it…100+ think we can make some noise…

The way things are going, I don't think we'll reach 100+. But clearly a vast majority of the FAU supporters are in favor of a Town Hall. Any ideas on how to make this happen and happen soon! FAu only has until May 1, 2009 to raise the $12million needed. Time is ticking away to May 1 and this needs to happen ASAP.

I suggest contacting Dexter LaMont and/or Terry Mohajir and asking if they'd help set one up, along with the Owl Club. This would tie more people in to the event.

FAU Athletics Admins do check this board, so they may be aware of this interest already.
