Hell, I'd take the old FIU stadium on the FAU campus at this point.

I mean that any seat that gets you between the 30 yard lines is "prime". To leave that area (even on one side) unimproved is something I have never seen done in a new stadium.

Well FIU officially broke ground on there stadium and I was looking around the web site and stopped in at the WKU site and had no idea the have renovations going on with there stadium. They are just coming into 1-A and take a look at some the pics of what they will have when it is finished.

We can't get past the finger pointing. >:(

FIU's stadium looks much better than what we have, which is nothing. How can anyone knock someone's stadium when we don't have one?

They started football a year after us, yet are at least 2-3 years ahead of us in this category. We say we are playing in our stadium in 2010, but guess what, it's mid 2007 and we don't even have an approved plan.

UCF, FIU and now UM with the a $206 million renovation for the OB…Why are we having such a difficult time with our nest? I'm so discused…when do you want to meet for the rally, just make sure we call the papers for coverage.

It'd be best to leave the papers out, I think.
FAU's reputation has already got knocked around to death by other things that Kimberly Miller has written (Davenport scandal, Barry Kaye billing himself as FAU professor, FAU whining about UF going south, now FAU hiring a Dean that was pretty much hated at his last school….)

I was talking to a woman tonight who said she wouldn't send her son to FAU because of all the bad press FAU has been getting.

It might be evened out by all the good press that a theoretical marketing department at FAU might put out if they were functional, like UCF's, which puts out daily stuff heralding the university and look what it's done for their public rep…

I agree that FAU should have a full-time liaison working with each the of the PPB & SS and the local TV stations for that matter and feeding them all the goods stuff that is happening around the FAU community - showing them what each individual schools accomplishments are, along with all the grants and research development news, the list is endless.

It also helps to bring the surrounding community and PBC in touch with FAU, these stories may not make the papers everyday, but on a slow news week, some of those stories could find their way in the papers. At least one story, per week should be written up by the local media. I know that FAU has no control over what gets written or covered, but if we establish a good working relationship with these median source, it would help bridge a gap that does exist.

I remember not long ago, that we sports fans where complaining about the lack of coverage FAU athletics had been getting and this has improved tremendously and I do think the same can be done with the University overall - FAU is not an isolated island in Boca Raton.

I totally agree with getting something out to the public which is also made up of future students. UCF has a weekly show on a local public TV channel in this area. They cover sports and exactly what was mentioned about specific schools and what is going on with them. Of course every week foe the last several the new stadium and many of the outdoor shots show the progress. The history of the university, its growth, etc.. The viewing area covers most of the central Florida area. Just an idea
