I'm not really sure when the rule changed but I'm pretty sure you're no longer allowed to bring alcohol into the games anymore, not that I've tried.
it still goes on…just not "enforced"…….
unless one was to shine a flashlight on the container and wave it around in the air…….

The Citrus Bowl had beers for a ridiculous amount of money. This year with no beer, I found that bringing in a flask of whiskey and buying just one coke will keep me kickin the entire game. And it's stronger ;)

Flask of whiskey + 3 Dollar coke = Way better than a $6-8 beer!!

Well luckily we play off campus.. It's all about PBR! Pabst Blue Ribbon! lol, especially when they are cans because you can put them in your shorts and sneak them into the football games… I mean I wouldn't know ;) but I have heard thats what some people do LOL

For once I agree with you Knight, I just substitute Rum for whiskey. Much cheaper and much tastier.

It has nothing to do with conferences.
yes it absolutely does
1. state laws
2. conference rules
State laws and conference rules have nothing to do in regards to selling alcohol at an on-campus stadium. Since it's an NCAA rule, a team could be sanctioned in some fashion for violating this rule. Our stadium will be dry, tailgating will not be a problem at all. Sneaking it in is the typical method to get bombed at an on campus stadium.
What is a conference specific rule is the use of artificial noise makers in stadiums. The SEC has a specific rule because one of the teams fans bring cow bells or some similar bell and it apparently is absolutely ridiculous.

That would be Mississippi State Bulldogs. They have been flagged for them making it too noisy and when they hosted LSU on ESPN the commentators were mentioning how many cowbells "snuck" past security. Wonder if they play the SNL skit on their JumboTron….I've got a fever and the only cure for it is….more cowbell!!
