It's an Official Thumbs Up for FAU Stadium

They handed out some nice fliers at the game this saturday with all the details for the high end stuff.

Booze is avialable for every level of the expensive seats.

Note said that a deposit of 30 dollars would hold you a place for a seat in the new stadium.

I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and I'm out of bubble gum.

Has anyone heard if FAU is trying to re-work our 2011 schedule to bring in a worthwhile team for our stadium opener?

Yes, Angelos said he has some options and breathing room…they will need to see when the completion date is forecast to be, then can request date movements, etc to accommodate opening day…still TBD:

"The loan will close with Region's Bank…in two weeks. On October 3rd…we should have a pretty good idea from the construction companies on a deliverable date. So, whenever that date is, then I will try and decide who we're going to play and when we are going to play them."

"We've got some options, we could probably put UAB up there sooner if it gets delivered, or we could use a Sun Belt opponent sooner, or I have been talking with some other teams locally that we might be able to bring here that might be a better attraction."

"It all depends on when they can deliver the stadium".

It's about to be 2 weeks from approval.  Any word on the loan closing?

I still say a winnable game but a good draw, really leaves like USF or UCF.

Who wants to lose on opening day of your brand new stadium… but as we all know, with this team, probably can't prevent that.
