Owlcatraz!

Put a shank in the talon of the Owl logo as well.

I get it that owlcatraz is funny but i'm sorry, I would not be intimidated by that… football in paradise, owlcatraz…. not exactly striking fear into the hearts of the opposing team. Watch this video and get back to me on your name ideas. I have to say if I watched this before playing there, id be a little worried especially with the name.

Nothing about playing the Owls in Boca is going to be intimidating until we start winning.

It's absolutely shocking what some people have written on the FB page, and they were admitted in to FAU??? I'm concerned these people have driver's licenses let alone the chance to earn a college degree…

And the fact is that the government has proven time and again that it's not really capable of running a profitable business so private prisons run by business people is a logical step. The comments about the Geo Group "imprisoning young men" is just as bad as some of the FB "they better improve parking and lower my tuition with the donation" comments.

I honestly think this is a goodwill deal, maybe some public exposure to gain more investors but a company like Geo has the license to print money basically, so this is a case of an alum (Geo's CEO), being in a position to make a decision that will help his alma mater, and he did it. Also, Pablo Paez, ex SG Prez at FAU and current FAUNAA Board Member is in charge of Community Engagement at GEO and should be thanked if you see him, I'm sure he pulled many strings to get this to happen as well.

I don't love the term of the contract but I do love a $6mm payday. The BOT meeting seemed like a simple vote, no details on the contract, I hope there's a buyout but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. for today, enjoy it!
