…..With the stadium being open air I am sure that concerts will be held there but I would also imagine that some Boca residents will complain about the "noise" created by the concerts.

GO OWLS!!!

Well, Boca does have concerts at Mizner Park, so I don't think that's a relevant argument.

Yeah, there wont be a house within at least a mile or two from the stadium…that argument doesn't make any sense.

I am not making the argument. When the dome was planned part of the justification was for concerts and a "sound-proof" venue. They were talking about BIG concerts, not something that would draw a few 100 fans like a Mizner Park deal. Imagine having a big name band with a serious sound system and 10,000-20,000 people. It gets loud.

GO OWLS!!!

I'll be SHOCKED if any big concert comes to our stadium with arenas such as Miami, BAC, West Palm Ampitheatre are much more attractable venues.

Like things, love people.

If the airport does not disturb neither should the stadium.

depends on the size of the plane…they sometimes have pretty good sized jets taking off at 5:30am…

believe me, i know :-\

Again, I am going back to the original idea of the dome as a state of the art sports facility/concert venue. That is how it was pitched. By the way, I was never in favor of a dome. With the move to an open-air stadium a lot of things have to be adjusted. Is it still being considered for concerts?? I don't even know. It might not even be pitched as a multi-use facility. I am just trying to get some people up to speed on how this thing has progressed since it was first conceived of some 5-6 years ago. I have been around since the beginning so I am familiar with most of what has gone on.

Re: NEW - Stadium Pictures

What about when we had the MTV campus invasion tour here 2 years in a row. Papa Roach/Alien Ant Farm & Bush/Moby

I'm know that was plenty loud and I don't recall people complaining about the noise.

Being from Long Island there are still big concerts at the Nassau Coliseum even though there's plenty of other venues from MSG to Yankee stadium.

So just because our stadium wouldn't hold as many people as the BAC or the AAA doesn't mean we wouldn't get big names playing there

My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

I would imagine that the stadium could hold more than the allotted 30,000 seats depending on the configuration. That makes it a pretty sizeable venue for concerts.

Well, even with 30,000 seats, they still should be able to sell "floor" aka "pit" tickets for another thousand people or so.

Exactly. It wouldn't be a venue that would be drawing 2,000-3,000 people. We are talking BIG concerts if it is indeed used for concerts. Although, I think we are all putting the cart in front of the horse since ground hasn't even been broken on the stadium.

Great new artist's rendering of the stadium and the surrounding area! Shows how FAU will look once we become more of a real campus, much different and better than from my old days. Exciting!!
