According to Ted, the negotiations have stalled for the Orioles to take it over i believe…so looks that way, unless something changes…

When the Dodgers pulled out of Vero it opened some other venues for the O's to consider - which kind os stinks :-\
Perhaps they (Ft. Laudie) will now consider putting some $$$ into rennovation of LockFART??
I seriously doubt we won't be in OUR stadium in 2010, but it would be nice to play next year there in a much better situation that present…

If we are still playing in Lockhart in 2010, this team is doomed. It will not survive for very long without an on campus stadium.
The team will survive, just look at what UCF had to deal with… and for so long a time as well. Now thats just the survival of the team, but to truly continue to expand and grow into what we all think it could become, then yes an on-campus stadium is crucial.

Yeah, but UCF's off-campus stadium was still a big stadium with locker rooms and could still attract a big name opponent if it needed to. Their fans might not have liked it, but it did its job. Miami, USC, USF have off-campus stadiums, and they have done pretty well. Difference is nobody wants to come to Lockhart – other schools, players, students, fans. It served its purpose once, but it's grossly inadequate now – something UCF never could say about the Citrus Bowl or Miami about the OB.

That is Probably the biggest reason to have a temp stadium would be more acceptable then going back to that run down piece of crap
