So lets start a list of real companies around town that could be our sponsor:

1. JM Family
2. Citrix
3. ADT / Tyco
4. Appliad Card Systems CCBank
5. DHL
6. Publix
7. Boca Resort
8. Motorolla
9. Bank Atlantic
10. Sun Sentineal
11. Amex
12. Ed Morse
13. Any of the Brokerage Houses in town that have zillions of $$$'s from all of the boca people… Morgan, Smith, ect
14. How about Wayne H

We can add to the list, but what we really need is someone who works at these places to get the wheels turning…

1. Too Small and Local IMHO, but maybe
2. Possible
3. VERY Possible with national presence to make it happen
4. Possible Already a supporter hope they escalate, but might be too small
5. Again I think a very likely sponsor
6. Too local
7. WAY too local
8. Possible
9. No way with the current real estate and financial instabillity
10. Dont see it but maybe
11. Not the clientelle they cater too, although the Boca market may appeal
12.  To local, but perhaps Maronee with thier ZILLIONS of dealerships
13. See number 9
14. Money sink in place for him with Dolphins stadium and Dolphins in general

I know Florida_Owl works for Office Depot and says no way, but that would seem to be the most perfect fit. HQ in Delray, started in Boca. Thats the one I would like to see. So I say in order of probablity

DHL, ADT, Office Depot, Citrix, Applied Card Systems would be the "front runner"

ONe other thought is Lynn insurance but I know they already are involved in the Boca College Game.

I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and I'm out of bubble gum.

If Office Depot isn't interested I know who would be… here's a hint: Stapler.

Re: Stadium Name

That would be cool if a resort company bought it. We could call it "the resort."

"THERES FOOTBALL IN PARADISE!"

Build Tradition
Tell someone "GO OWLS!"

Re: Stadium Name

As I mentioned earlier, don't forget about Subway. They are local and I think they would be a good fit. Plus, it would be nice to have a stadium that offers Subway food.

I'd love to have a Subway on campus. I was thrilled when they put in a Quiznos but since Quiznos stopped offering meatball subs, I don't eat there anymore.

I've heard from my sister that UCF has five Subways on campus!

I just don't see them putting their name on a stadium. Subway Stadium?

I would have liked it to be named after one of the donors, Guggenheim.

Schnellenberger Field at Guggenheim Stadium.

Perfect.

And there we can host the Owl Bowl, an SBC team vs an ACC team…. second bowl tie-in for SBC….

Re: Stadium Name

I like that, SBC play ACC or maybe the Subway Bowl or other names mentioned. The naming company I'm sure would probably be interested in the Bowl game named after them.

Re: Stadium Name

I really think we should try and sell the naming rights to subway. Fred De Luca is the owner and he lives off Las Olas in Ft. Lauderdale. I think it could be a relatively easy pitch. Especially if we could make some signage visable to I-95. $20,000,000.00 does not seem to expensive for a global corporation, who's C.E.O. is a billionaire.

Re: Stadium Name

Our contract with Chartwells probably forbids advertising for other food franchises on campus...

Re: Stadium Name

i think everyone is jumping the gun on this… everyone is assuming its going to be corporate… i honestly would not be surprised if one of the reasons they're holding off so long is they are trying in every possible way to make this a named stadium

ie: calling barry kaye, etc etc…

i refuse to believe they don't have sponsors already willing to
pull the trigger - its south florida, I-95, etc
