I like "The Burrow", but that's taken by the arena. "The Nest" sounds good, but it doesn't make sense for burrowing owls. Maybe something like "Howard's Field" will stick.

This is my first time writing…BUT, I do a lot of reading……Owls sit on a PERCH while waiting on it's prey….So how about the "The Perch" or is this too corny ??? :o

I got an idea for a name for our "current" stadium (Lockhart) after reading this about our feathered namesakes:

"Burrowing Owls in agricultural environments line their burrows with dry horse or cow manure."

ya know i didnt believe this when someone told me they do this…

BUT, they do!  my dad has a an Owl couple right behind the house on the street corner, and they lined thier nest with dog poo when they had chics…

belief is that it keep pesky critters "on the prowl for some young tender owl" away because they cant smell the chics, but rather the poo instead…

;D  Would that make it "Sh*t Pit"?
Burrow doesn't sound intimidating enough.
