I know Kiffen is still our HC, but this isn't the same team guys.
Air Force is a serious opponent who plays a tough brand of football.
We will 100% NEED good QB play to win this game by what the spread calls for. After watching our defense look NAIA level vs OU, I'm hoping they find a way to progress. Watched the game again last night. Those kids should need to find a way to get it together, OU was a complete 100% embarrassment on the defensive side of the ball. Bunch of kids up for big awards and projected to make it to the NFL, played without any competitiveness or spirit last Saturday
It's concerning.

I rewatched the game and think our team has potential on Offense. The first thing that jumped out at me was that Robison was going through his reads really quickly and we should have gotten points in the first half. We weren't clicking early Bc we had to break in new receivers at freaking Oklahoma, which really doesn't mean anything. Robison should be able to throw on every D we face from here on out. From the very limited time De'Andre played, it didn't look like he was even progressing to his 2nd read at all. So Robison's the guy these next 4 years hopefully, which is exciting. We should pass on everyone with him except maybe UCF. We're favored by double digits, and we cover 45-28 FAU.Posted On: Sep 5th 2018, 9:30 AM #380206
You're so unreasonably optimistic I'm surprised you are not waiting on the coast for the Titanic to arrive.
Let's take a wait and see. I have zero confidence in any of the QB's to be honest. I think Rafe ends up starting the most games for us TBH. Let's see how this plays out.

Everybody is still predicting our games as if we were playing them at the end of last year.Posted On: Sep 5th 2018, 8:52 AM #380203
+1
That's what they ALWAYS do…
Which is why I looked at it objectively and said 8 games given a new OC, DC, OL, and QB.

If it doesn’t get better and quickly I think we struggle to 6-7 victories, and there will zero discussions of Lane getting a power 5 job next year. The Oklahoma game may have taken care of that already.

I hear you. From what I've read, RP seemed (I could be wrong) a little "peeved" at not being named the starter and expected to come here and be the man. That's all fine and good, but he did realize there were already two guys battling for the starting job with a big head start. I just don't think we have seen enough to judge the QBs yet. I like the fact DeAndre can mix it up with the run, but his passes did not seem crisp. Chris throws a much crisper pass, but who knows about freshman jitters. Raef seems talented, but I'm guessing there are reasons he has only played 7 total snaps in his collegiate career, and is in his third program as a senior.

So much for "God's plan", eh?
No one who was truly following that would be upset when they sit.

When I say I have zero confidence in the QB's…I dont mean to say I am writing them off. I am simply saying that none of our QB's have given me a reason YET to believe they can effectively run this team and win another CUSA championship let alone dominate AF and compete with UCF.d-owl said

I am really hoping one of them gives me a reason Saturday to believe we have somebody at the helm that can play to that level in an actual game.
Until then, I am saying…lets be objective here. Not get all "were going 11-1". We have some serious question marks that need to be answered to achieve anywhere near the level last years team did.
The only way RP should be "peeved" is if he has done enough in practice and scrimmages to separate himself from the others to earn a starting call. But that seems to be a common issue with that generation, they believe just because I am who I am - I should get to do/be anything. If he is disappointed, I understand that. I would imagine all 3 of the QB's want to start.
