Owls get the ball after the D holds Charlotte to just one first down on their second drive of the game.

Charlotte punts to Jalen Young after 5 offensive plays nets just 17 yards. Young gets a 33 yard punt return, setting up #FAU to start their third drive of the game on own 44 yard line.

I love Jalen Young as much as the next Owl fan, but man I'd have John Franklin III returning punts.

Don't want to risk Jalen getting hurt on the return and it'd be a great way to get Franklin the ball with that speed.

I don't think the game is in doubt, but it does kind of feel like they are going through the motions a bit.

Owls are unable to find the endzone, settle for three points after Lane thought about going for it on fourth and five.

Greg Joseph knocks in a 37 yard field goal from the far right hash mark. Disappointing to only score one TD on #FAU's first three drives, but it's still early in Charlotte.
