No Parfitt for KSU per Partridge…Posted On: Sep 12th 2016, 12:17 PM #359075
Good Idea to sit him regardless. I don't think we have a chance this week (Hopefully I am wrong). Let's get healthy for the Ball State, and conference play.

On Defensive performance against Miami
"…bottom line is when you are in a game like that of equal talent, you have to perform more consistently. That is where we are at right there. Lack of concentration and gap integrity, we need to improve that and we didn’t finish the game where we wanted…"
On Offensive performance against Miami
"Offense made a few plays here and there. We need to continue to work and protect the quarterback. I give Miami credit. Their “D” line did a great job. A few catches, a few key catches at different times and we are talking about a completely different game. That is the reality of it, when you look at the films. This is one of those times, when I left the locker room and came and talked to some of you guys that the film matched exactly what I felt and that is a few catches, a few presnap penalties away from finishing some drives and a completely different score, with us potentially going away with a lead at different points in the game. So, we will get those things cleaned up as we continue to grow. "
On Special Teams performance against Miami
It was great to have Greg [Joseph] back. Every time he kicked the ball off, he was in a touchback situation. Made his field goal in a good place and kickoff return - big improvement there in terms of how we fit things up and lock things up. We got Kerrith [Whyte] up on the kicker a number of times. So he is one guy away from potentially breaking a big one. That’s good. They blocked a punt against us. They were in safe punt. They were moving their guys around in an untraditional fashion – some confusion there, so give them [UM] credit…easy fix. The good news is our defense gets a stop. They block a punt against us. They had a big play by [Brad] Kaaya to #82 [David Njoku]. We end up getting a stop and we block a field goal so we answer with them scoring no points. There is an example of our resiliency…"
On Kansas State
"They have a punter and a kicker on both watch lists for those positions. So, special teams we have a lot of respect for. Quarterback returns after missing 2015 campaign, due to an injury. I know they were counting on a lot from him last year so now they have created depth, because they had a walk-on come in and do a pretty nice job for them last year, but the quarterback from ’15 returns. Upfront they have a center who they moved to right tackle who is a sophomore, elected to captain. Very athletic and an impressive young man up on the front and he leads a group of physical “O” linemen. These guys are well-coached and they play hard. On defense, similar to the quarterback, they have a three-time team captain. Third-year captain who missed last year due to injury, the majority of it. Extremely athletic. Probably one of the best DBs that you will see on film throughout the course of the year. A tremendous challenge for us and he looked really good against Stanford…at “D” end, #75 [Jordan Willis], also a captain and then #60 [Will Geary] at nose guard is about as strong and physical as it gets. So, we have our hands full with those two guys."
