If you recall, Partridge was not happy with Holliday after trying to run up the score in a game that was already over last year when The Herd came to FAU Stadium.

Maybe that will provide a needed spark to take care of matters this weekend…

If Charlie has 1/10th the killer attitude Doc has maybe he wouldn't be 7-23.

Stop them if you don't want them to score, but since we know your staff is can't coach a team to do that I guess it's better to just cry about it.

I am extremely suprised the line is only 12 points.  Feels like 17-20 would be more appropriate.

Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

I hate when people cry about getting the Score run up on them, especially in a conference game where the teams should be closer in competition.  We wish we could run up the score on anyone.

The only times I would get upset about running up the score:

1) would be when the teams are so opposite in competition like us and Alabama.  Then there is no reason for a Alabama to put up 100 points, etc.

2) when it's the last series of the game and there is no chance of a different outcome and one team can just take a knee to end the game but they try to score.

Other than that, if they can't stop us or we can't stop them, then too bad.

33-17 isn't exactly running up the score. I don't remember, but maybe Doc scored in the last minute or so when the game was already over. Either way, Marshall didn't embarrass us, we embarrass ourselves.

Doesn't this kinda sum up Charlie football? It's all choir boy c*** and that's why this team can not step on anyone's neck in the 4th quarter for the last three years.

Doc's MO has always been to dominate Florida recruiting in CUSA (which he is still doing BTW!) beating us handily, and doing so again this weekend, gives him the needed fodder to convince a recruit on the fence to come up to Huntington. Be prepared to drive that nail in the coffin this weekend, pound Marshall and the points, they're gonna kill us.

OC…what's the gofundme address?

I am a student and I hear rumors of what players are saying.  The new OC Trickett is not good at game planning or adjustments.  The players and assistant coaches know this is true but cant say anything.  Most of the players had better OC's in high school.
Correct your mistake PARTRIDGE!  Trickett should resign or get fired NOW.  We can then win some games this year.

Notables from Head Coach Doc Holliday’s Tuesday’s FAU Presser…

Opening statement

The captains this week will be Deon-Tay McManus and Michael Selby on offense, Rodney Allen and Gary Thompson on defense. We have to go out this week and be a better football team. I wish I could put one finger on it, whether we need to be better on offense or whether we need to be better on defense. We just have to get better overall as a team. You guys have watched Florida Atlantic as much as I have and they are a talented football team. They have the preseason defensive player of the year, at defensive end, Trey Hendrickson. At linebacker, they have the freshman of the year last year. If you look at the tape, they are a talented football team. Their quarterback, Jason Driskel, is back for his second year, and he is an experienced quarterback. It will be very important that we have a great week of preparation and that we go out and play well.

On the 1-4 start to the season

Nobody is happy where we are. We are beyond the point where we expect to play well against those teams.

On the FAU rushing attack

Gregory Howell is a big kid, he is a 200-plus pound back. He breaks tackles and he is a physical runner. He has become much moreso now that he is a year older. They have a couple young kids behind him that they like to play. One is a freshman, the other is a redshirt freshman. They both have ability on the perimeter.

On FAU tight end Tyler Cameron

He has gotten a lot better since last year. He was a quarterback transfer from Wake Forest. They moved him to tight end last year. Just a year ago, he was learning the position and if you watch him now, he has become a guy who is more comfortable playing that position. A year ago he did some things that hurt us from that position so we are well aware of who he is and what he can do.

On how to get Chase Litton back on a consistent track

I don’t think there is any question that we have to help him. Everyone needs to step up in all three phases, at all positions. Whether it is at running back, or wide receiver. We have to do a better job of getting him into a position where he can be successful. He has done an awful lot of good things and we need to get back to doing that.

On sticking with two running back system

(Anthony) Anderson got banged up a little bit and I’m not quite sure where he is, we will find out this week. Last year at this time, Keion Davis and Hyleck Foster played the entire game against this football team and had (nearly) 200 yards rushing (between them). So we have to get Keion, Hyleck and Pittman going.

On Marshall’s players facing guys they know on FAU’s team

I think our guys need to just get focused on getting better as a team, and getting better as an individual. I think we need to worry about ourselves right now and there is no doubt at this point we should be excited to play whoever is coming in here. I think we need to get better as a team and block out the noise.

They still have put up enough points to win games. It does not explain the Roc's defense

Yea with all the injuries and young QB's I put no blame on Trickett.
We haven't blown any doors off put we have up enough points to win like Delt said.

Also factor if we could stop the run at all we would gain a couple more possessions a game.

Also players are not the best source for coaching decisions during games  would you go to a business and ask a low level employee at a major company why certain moves were being done?

For example ''Hey why weren't we attacking UNCC's undersized LB's in the passing game?'' one player might ask and the answer might not be something the players like for example the coaches would make those adjustments if they didn't have to keep RB's or TE's to protect because the online isn't good enough.

In the end though this on Charlie his players his staff his 7-23 record.
