I think he's got to win out and get to a bowl game to have a realistic shot at the job, but if he does, he'd have earned it.  He's done good work keeping this team together the past few days.  Definitely would have a case with a strong finish.

With the remaining schedule winning out will be pretty easy, not sure if that should be enough to give him a contract

Well I think that winning out would be one requirement, but not the only requirement.  Obviously, he'd have to be evaluated on how he handles all the other aspects of the job.   I'm not saying he should get the job or not…just that I am sure he'll get an interview (if you listen to the Chun halftime interview, he and Chun know many of the same people).  If he's 4-0 with a bowl appearance after the season, he'd have a pretty strong case to make for the job….But I'm sure that there will be many strong candidates.
